Ghantali Mitra Mandal, GMM) has been established on 26th January 1965 by Yogacharya Shrikrishna Vyavahare with four like minded friends. Initially the intention was to organise the social and cultural events like Vasant Vyavkhyan Mala, Blood Donor's List etc. In the year 1971, one dynamic personality in the field of Yoga, Kashinath Balkrishna Saharastrabuddhe, settled in Thane after his retirement with strong will to spread the culture of Yoga from "Door to Door and Shore to Shore" as advised by his Guru Paramhansa Swami Satyanand Saraswatiji, from Bihar School of Yoga, Munger. Incidentally, he met Shrikrishna Vyavahareand strongly persuaded him to undergo the Yogic Practices. Yoga was a catalyst in the life of Shrikrishna Vyavahare. Since 1971 till his demise in 2019, Yogacharya Vyavahare ails, Anna devoted his entire life towards this science.
In the Diamond Jubilee of GMM, there are host of programmes to be organised in physical form and on "On Line" basis as well. This year is going to be memorable for all Yoga lovers in and around Thane, with the blessings of all our Gurus. The Yoga lovers can listen the YouTube recordings of every month's programme and enrich self through knowledge imparted by experts in the field of Yoga. January 2024 - Inauguration of 75th Class of Diabetes Control and Management Class at the hands of Dr. Vishwasrao Mandlik, Yoga Vidya Gurukul, Nasik and in presence of Shri Durgadas Sawant from Yoga Vidya Niketan, Vashi , as Chief Guest.
