A 'Pratiprasava' observed from 'Annamaya Kosa to Manomaya Kosa in muitifunctional disorders with application of Yoga Therapy [S-E-M-H-P-O axisl i.e. Spiritual-Emotional-Mental-Hypothalamus-Pituitary-(target organ) organ axis with special reference to 'Nadayoga'
This paper presents the overall efficacy of yogic methodology in 482 patients, studied objectively and subjectively at 'Niranjan Yoga Swasthya Kendra', Ghantali Mitra Mandal, Thane during January 2006 to June 2007.
The ailments and the number of patients treated include hypertension (17), bronchial asthma (12), diabetes mellitus (67), backache(25) ischaemic heart disease (28), arthritis (14), menstrual disorders (26), obesity (36), respiratory disorders including allergic shinitis (27), digestion disorders (13), anxiety and related disorders (65), hypothyroidism (10), in particular' and a total 152 patients with multiple ailments in each of them. The Yogic Methodology included, dehasadhana, Pranasadhana,bhavasadhana,Divyasadhana. advice on diet, congenial atmosphere,- Counselling.
A subjective and objective analysis of relevant parameters was carried out for individual diseases, while only objective data was recorded for patients with multisystem involvement. Significant improvement in the parameters gives us encouragement to further implement practices at S-E-M-H-P-O axis as complementary therapy to modern medicine.
We feel proud about ancient India’s contribution of "Music' and 'Yoga' [Art and Art of living respectively] to the humanity. Implementation of yoga using 'Nadayoga' (use of seven notes of Indian classical music) and 'Omkar Sadhana' would definitely prove a constructive way to build a healthy mind behind a healthy body.
